Our Team

Meet Our Primary Care Team

Mountain View Family Medicine provides complete medical care for pediatric to adult patients. Our office is led by board-certified family medicine physician Steven Hall, MD. With more than 20 years of medical experience, Dr. Hall is skilled in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of chronic and acute illnesses. He is supported by several nurse practitioners at our two office locations who work closely with Dr. Hall to provide excellent primary care for all of our patients. Dr. Hall sees patients at both office locations.

Dr. Hall is a native of East Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree from University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in 1987. He then attended and graduated from UT Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis, TN in 1991. Dr. Hall completed his residency in 1994 through the East Tennessee State University Bristol Family Practice Residency Program. Dr. Hall and his wife, Vicki, have four boys. He is very active in his church and is an avid outdoorsman. His desire for his practice is to provide quality health care in a professional, yet relaxed setting.

Family Nurse Practitioner

Thomas sees patients at the Seymour office.

Thomas Shirley is a board-certified family practitioner. Before beginning his career in medicine, Thomas joined the military in 1993 and proudly served active duty in the US Navy until 1999. After completing his military duty, Thomas attended Carson Newman University and earned a Bachelor of Art in Biology, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Nursing. Thomas is a native of Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas but moved to East Tennessee where he and his wife, Pam, have 4 children – 2 boys and 2 girls. Thomas is very family oriented and enjoys sports and other outdoor activities with his family. He is an avid tennis player and is a very active member of his church. Thomas has a desire to apply his education, knowledge and life experiences to help equip, educate and promote a healthy lifestyle with his patients – helping them to find relief of acute conditions such as sinus issues, sore throat, cold, flu, etc., as well as implement long term approaches to management of diabetes, hypertension, and COPD. His goal along with Dr. Hall is to provide high quality healthcare in a professional, yet relaxed setting.

Family Nurse Practitioner

Jennifer sees patients at the Pigeon Forge office.

Jennifer, known to most as Jenny, is originally from the small town of Etowah, TN about two hours south of here but has lived in Sevier County for the past 14 years. She and her husband Chuck and daughter Elizabeth live in Sevierville on what they call their “mini” farm. They have miniature horses, goats, pigs, and chickens, as well as cats and dogs. Jenny and her family have owned and operated a small business here in Sevier County, Harvest Moon Pumpkin Patch & General Store in Wears Valley since 2013.

Jenny obtained her first degree in Biology from Maryville College in 2005 and began her career in the medical field at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville in 2006. She then went on to obtain her bachelors in nursing from Carson Newman University in 2009 and her masters in nursing from ETSU college of Nursing in 2016, and has advanced to her current position as a certified family nurse practitioner here at Mountain View Family Medicine. She has past experience in the ER setting and much of her career up to this point was spent in the cardiac setting.

Growing up, Jenny always had a desire to help other people and she feels that family practice is an awesome way to accomplish that goal. She has a strong desire to make lasting relationships with each of her patients. She believes in providing high quality care to every patient, every visit, and feels it it is an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with meeting your healthcare needs.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Jennifer sees patients at the Pigeon Forge office.

Jennifer is a certified advanced practice registered nurse. She attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Jennifer then went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing at Duke University in Durham, NC.
